There was more out of camera range ...
This morning the block segments were trimmed and added to the design wall in no particular order, but not stitched together yet. At this point I think I'll leave them unstitched until all the segments are sewn (another 3 months) in case some need to be moved around for a more pleasing arrangement.
Month 3 blocks
All blocks made thus far, looking a bit oddly weird with that bit of space
between the top row and April's unsewn segments
Linking up with Lori at Humble Quilts 2019 Stringalong. Only three more months until I can start thinking about borders for this quilt. A piano key outer border maybe? There are plenty more strings where these came from - the blue strings are multiplying in volume rather than decreasing! How does that happen?
Meanwhile, I'll leave you with a sneak peek at the project/squirrel that inserted itself into the quilty lineup mid-month, and is taking center stage until its completion, very soon I hope. This little squirrel is going to a deserving cause, so it's all good.

Love your blue string blocks! I only finished mine yesterday! LOL
Well, you may not be happy with your progress, but at least you MADE progress! I haven't touched my string blocks this month! I adore the fabrics in squirrel project. Delicious!
Your blue string blocks are wonderful and the fabrics in your squirrel project are really interesting--and fun!
That is a wonderful string project! I like the little touches of purple here and there.
Your squirrel looks very pretty in those rich colors. I am interested to learn more about it.
Love this pattern! Looking GREAT!!
I've always liked the Spider Web design, and yours is a great example of it. I'm impressed that you have so many blues! I couldn't come up with nearly so many. Aqua perhaps, but not true blue. You can take your time with this one. Those scraps aren't going anywhere... unless you have some sewing room elves. If so, then I'm totally jealous!
I like the idea of only using one color throughout. I could probably do that with creams!
lovely scrappy strings! and so nice to see my messy space is the norm for busy quilters!
I like the strings! You do have plenty to work with....and focusing on 4 a month is a good way to not get bored.
I love the string-along project, but the squirrel looks right up my alley.
great spider web blocks! string everywhere - love it. all of our sewing rooms are looking like this
I LOVE those string blocks.
Any progress is good progress. Lots of great string blocks. It's a great pattern. Funny how that darn squirrel just wiggles his way in.
