If we had adopted his sister, we would have a Ziva (our names). As you can see it was a tough choice ... and they weren't making it any easier!
They are six months old and full of energy. I think the decision was made after we watched "Ziva" happen to look up and spot a ceiling fan and immediately launching herself skyward in an attempt to reach the pull chain! I think that amount of energy would doubtless put us over the top, though her brother is no slouch in the energy department either. We definitely have our work cut out for us!
Who, me?
So, my goals for December are to finish this quilt and have it wrapped and under the tree when the family arrives on Christmas Eve. And, there are 4 or 5 hexie table toppers that need their binding sewn on as they are gifts for more distant family members. Then we'll concentrate on doing some training of our new furry toddler, wrapping gifts, and hopefully even getting a bit of holiday baking done ahead of time. And a tree, there needs to be a tree with grandkids here! There are also 10 family members with birthdays in December and January! Busy, happy times.
From our little corner of the world to yours, wishing you a happy, and healthy week ahead!
p.s. The kitchen and dining room are painted with everything put back in place just in time for the new arrival! I'm awfully thankful to not be dealing with paint cans and trays this week!

I absolutely love the name! Who would not want a Gibbs living with them:) You will have your hands full with some training and guidance for a while, but he is sure to enliven your life. Yes, time for the tree, a few decorations, and some baking to begin. Enjoy the fun.
What a beautiful baby you have. Yes, the energy level is quite a handful, but I know you will be thrilled. Paint cans and a puppy would not make a good blend. ;-)
What a gorgeous puppy! He may be full of energy and drive you crazy but you're going to love him so much! Enjoy!!
How great for you! But I also know how time-consuming it can be caring for a dog. Your time will be more allotted than before! My friend has two yorkies named Gibbs, and Ziva. :-) Guess that NCIS was a popular TV show!
Congratulations on your new pup! He looks like a sweety.
What a great name for your new pup! And he is a handsome fella!! Hoping his little sister finds a loving home like yours...what a tough choice...Gibbs and ZIva would have been quite the pair. That time between Thanksgiving and Christmas is always crunch time for quilters - you can do it!!
What a beautiful new furry toddler. He has a darling face. Your hands will be very full for quite awhile, but I'm sure he's melting your heart more each day. Your grandson is going to adore his Christmas quilt.
Wow! You have a BUSY December, alright! Your new fur person is adorable, and the name's a hit. Hopefully he won't get to missing his sister and start leaping for things. ;D
What a cute pup! Gibbs. Ha ha. My favorite program but I wouldn't have thought to name my dog after one of the characters -- but I think it's a great idea. Good luck with your border goal. I can imagine much more time going to Gibbs than to the quilt. Gibbs is a border collie?
you won my birthday drawing! send me you address please and you have a cute dog! Glad you won. Hugs
