Anticipating October's Bright Blue Weather

Hi, I hope you all are experiencing an extended summer as we are, with mostly sunny warm days, near frosty nights, the beginning of the autumn colors, pumpkins, mums and everything else that sings October is near!

Being the last day of September it seems like a perfect time to show my latest finish, a little girl baby quilt.  Once again I wasn't entirely happy with this group of photos, they seemed a bit blurry (and maybe they are). But, this morning it occurred to me that the pink print fabric bordering the center panel and near the outside edge is the likely culprit.  It's a perfectly lovely little print in person, but the pattern just doesn't photograph well...that's my story anyway!

I'm setting this one aside for a future great-grandbaby, or possibly even another granddaughter as it seems that there's a possibility of both in our near future - color me delighted!!

The next two photos show that pink fabric in a bit better detail - you can click the photos for a larger view if you wish.

Love the little teddy bears in each corner!  They're the last pieces from some yardage in the baby fabric bin for the last umpteen years.

This little quilt finished at 36x36 inches - a bit on the small side but easy for a toddler to drag around.

A question for all you bloggers out there - do you ever check your blog stats, particularly how many "views" each post received?  It seems entirely out of the scope of reason that my last post should have received over 14,000 views (according to Blogger) when for the life of this blog I rarely exceeded 3-400 views!  So, what do you suppose?  Anyone seeing anything similar?

I'll close with a photo of my view from the kitchen window this morning as the sun shone brightly on our side porch.  When the cold wind blows in another month or two I'll remember this morning and those sunflowers glowing in the early morning light.

Til next time, listen with intention and understanding, speak softly with love, and cherish the Light!

I love the baby girl quilt. You have a nice variety of fabrics in it.
I check the stats now and then but I'm totally confused by what they are showing.

I just looked at my stats. Weirdly high numbers for me, too. I suspect we're being bombarded by bots.....but back to quilting: the baby quilt is charming. Congratulations to your family! And, yes, the sunshine is wonderful though we do need rain.

Lovely little quilt. I hope you get another granddaughter that you hope for. My last post received 700+ views in one day. It made me nervous so I unpublished it. I couldn't figure out what warranted the extra attention. I just showed the usual recently finished quilt and my grandson eating gummies.

The high view numbers are bots. I tried to block, preferring a couple real humans to thousands of...? electronic particles. But Google wouldn't explain how to do that. It was all about downloading and using a new Google Statistics Manager, so now we have an idea who let the bots out.

Your quilts is so sweet. I esp love the total view from a distance, it is wonderful.

And your morning view fo sunflowers and pumpkins, what a joy, that must brighten your day.

love

I adore that lovely quilt now going to be tucked away for a sweet future baby. What a nice capture of the sunflowers too. Yes, I noticed the unusual rise in numbers too and am uneasy about it.

What a sweet quilt, Pat. Mom and baby, whichever granddaughter it is, will be delighted. I don't think your photos are blurry. I'd say it's that pink print, too.
I see blog stats when I open blogger and have noticed that some months it seems like the visits are beyond possible, other months they seem about right. I don't know what's going on.
That's a beautiful autumn vignette on your back porch. Love the sun coming through the sunflower petals.

Another sweet little quilt. Wonderful use of the teddy bear fabric from years ago :) Love the photo of the sun shining through the sunflowers. Funny you ask about Blogger stats. I hadn't paid much attention to them but a couple weeks ago I looked and saw 18K views. That can't be right! So I looked again yesterday and the numbers seem to be back within a normal range. Maybe it was a Blogger blip :) Our first frost arrived this morning.
