It's funny I was thinking that it looks like the asymmetrical sections have pieces 'missing' (a column on the left for e.g.) and the quilter just made do with what she had, which has actually makes a much more interesting design! Keeping to a limited palette makes it so graphic too, gorgeous! I really love your close-up photos - I rarely get the chance to see antique/vintage quilts up close and personal, thank you!Stephiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09461286927746997845noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1898155445938416840.post-38967884384167625892015-10-27T19:20:23.561-04:002015-10-27T19:20:23.561-04:00Very interesting and wonderful!Very interesting and wonderful!Ruthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11912222251238739813noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1898155445938416840.post-44776779937897956362015-10-27T13:32:01.808-04:002015-10-27T13:32:01.808-04:00Your quilt is fabulous. It would be nice if these quilts could tell their tales. Maybe back then Quilter's didn't think anyone would care. Well, it is still something I keep trying to convince the Quilter's around me to do, document!Kylehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04492645548495218076noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1898155445938416840.post-12087158629478361712015-10-27T10:48:25.132-04:002015-10-27T10:48:25.132-04:00Pretty! I chose an asymmetrical setting for the log cabin quilt I made for my husband last year as well as a spiral setting for my oldest grandson and a "V" setting for my youngest grandson.Kathy ... aka Nanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17626590048036292030noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1898155445938416840.post-15970480230918631772015-10-27T10:13:44.391-04:002015-10-27T10:13:44.391-04:00What a great old quilt.
